Wendy Mitchell, the best-selling author of 'Somebody I used to know', 'What I wish I'd known about dementia', and 'One last thing', has died today. Her books brought the first glimmers of hope for me when I was diagnosed, and for so many others. She wrote openly, directly and lovingly about the process of living with dementia. In her last book, she wrote about making choices for her future.
Her daughters have published her final post for her blog today. She knew she was dying, and prepared this post to leave after her death. Like her books, she's direct about her own choices, but committed for everyone to make their own choices.
I'm linking to it here.
